Joe Barbieri's homage to “Lady Day”, the sad queen of Baltimore, begins and unwinds like a letter.

Some of the masterpieces made famous by Billie Holiday, as well as an unreleased song that lends its name to the album and a pearl in Italian, are the heartfelt words of this letter that Barbieri – accompanied by three jazz giants such as Gabriele Mirabassi, Pietro Lussu and Luca Bulgarelli – he wanted to send to one of his most beloved inspiring muses.
